Lesson Learned

We drove by the Eagles nest today to see if there was any activity.
I, not so smartly, decided that I wanted to get a closer shot.
I walked slowly towards the nest, which was pretty high
compared to my 5'1" height.
I know what you're thinking...this can't be good.

She (the Eagle) kept looking at me, watching patiently.
I kept approaching.

Then it happened, she took flight, and flew sideways,
claws spread, her wing span bigger was than the nest.

So needless to say, I freaked, I didn't run,
I walked quickly, well sprinted, quickly.

She noticed I was retreating and went back to her nest.
Talk about protection.
I JUST WANTED A PICTURE!!

Lesson learned, I think I need a bigger lense.
