Today's Thought

The last day of 2014, this marks the last day of 'sworn' resolutions,
you will either celebrate for completing them or feel guilty for not following through.

Fear not.......for

tomorrow is a new day, new year and new resolutions.
Something to keep in mind when making these resolutions,
keep them simple and attainable,
complete and repeat.

Happy New Year and all the best for 2015

My Christmas Tree

so I could get a closer picture
of the decorations,

and shot this, which is interesting and

Dickens of a Christmas

Spent the day at the 'Dickens of a Christmas' in Dundas,
Ontario with my sister.

We watched the horses go by...

...had tea, sandwiches and sticky toffee cake at Taylor's Tea Room

This is their Christmas Tree made with tea cups

What a great way to spend the afternoon

My Cupboards

So back to my apartment, my cupboards were this color,

and another view....

So I painted them as well, still the same knobs...

....and with a bit of silver to make them look aged
and give them some character.
 I love them.

The Squirrel and the Twins

My sister has this cute little squirrel
that comes to her front window and entertains the twins.
Here are the peanuts........

......here is the little cutie.....

.....here is my niece waiting anxiously....

.....the squirrel would come to the window,
stuff his cheeks with peanuts and leave,
he did this until they were all gone.

Crepe House

Went out with some friends to Port Dover to the Crepe House
and there were fireworks.
Delicious food and entertainment.

Today's Thought

How we look at the world.

The world we live in has much that is good and much that is bad. Each day we can seek out the positive or the negative. If we choose to dwell on the negative, then that is what we will experience. But if we dwell on the positive, then that is more likely what we will experience.

The choice today is ours. We are the only ones who have the power to change how we look at the world.

How do I view the world today?

Thought for the Day

It is remarkable how things change when I decide to change the way I look at them.

Today's Thought

"It's not the strongest of species that survives,
 nor the most intelligent
but the most responsive to change"

Cpl. Nathan Cirillo

Cpl. Nathan Cirillo's funeral procession down York Blvd in Hamilton.
The Canadian flag, way ahead, was draped over his casket.
Thousands of people came out to pay their respects

The Lake

There's a bit of a haze around this picture,
I didn't intend on it, but I like it.

Sea Glass or No Sea Glass

I have this old mirror which I inherited,
I love it but I wanted to change it.
Maureen (my friend and Interior Designer) suggested painting it and
possibly adding some sea glass as well.

I painted the frame in my favorite color, and added a bit of silver to the trim,
I tried placing the sea glass on the mirror and debated on whether I liked it........
 I debated some more........
and some more......then Maureen said, if you are debating THAT much, then......
leave it like this because you will change it again..............she knows me so well.
This is my end result, I love it.
