My Fireplace

This is the final stage of my home decorating. 

My makeshift fireplace looked like this....

...with a bit of a white wash, shabby chic kind of look.

So my friend, Maureen, said to add a little coral to the corners and edges, 

so I did as I was told.

And then paint it BLACK, so I did. 

Now I was told to sand the edges lightly to bring out the coral, 

but I haven't made up my mind about that yet. 

So this is the end result, for now. 

And everything is back in it's place.

The first time I heard this,

was from my friend Bonnie, and it stuck.

Bus stations always remind me of Greece and

taking the bus with my sister and dad.

 We traveled from the north end of Greece (Prespa) all the way to Athens.

Now it takes about 5 hours, back then it was most of the day.

It's a good memory and a trip I will never forget.

My Daughters Idea

My daughter has met and started dating her first 'official' boyfriend, 

she received a half dozen roses from him. 

Because I love making jewelry she asked if I could make her a necklace

 with a few of the rose pedals, what an interesting idea. 

I added a few gold flakes, the sun and the moon because she always relates to them. 

This is the end result.
