Planting Weekend

It's that time of year, 

where we take all the plants from inside,

and place them on the balcony 

under the beautiful warm sky and sunshine. 

From left to right

we have a lemon tree, 

clematis, tomatoes and an olive tree.

Basil, orange tree, strawberries,

palm tree and another

This is a honeysuckle,

one of my favourites.

Boon Burger Cafe

Now I'm a meat and potatoes kind of woman

so coming here was big for me.

Bonnie (my friend) asked if I would be interested in trying

this ALL VEGAN burger joint called

Boon Burger Cafe . 

I mean, there's no meat, what, how, I really like my meat Bonnie!!!

Ugh!!!

I figured what the heck, let's try it, it's one meal, I can survive this.

Well, let me tell you I was floored.

Look, they are so thoughtful by placing water bowls for your pets.

This was our order identifier (?), we ordered at the front

and this was our number attached to our order.

We felt bad, so we gave him/her some ice cream 

(which is homemade by the way)

We waited, but not long, so we enjoyed a drink, or two...

I ordered the Boon Burger, made with mushroom, brown rice, onion, garlic, 

lemon juice, lentils and oats. Seasoned with basil, oregano, salt and pepper. 

The combination of flavours was mouthwatering, I honestly could not get enough.

Bonnie ordered the Black Bean Patty, black beans, red beans, lentils, onions,

garlic, chili, cumin, tomatoes and cilantro. 

We cut the burgers in half and shared. 

Now the oven baked fries are a whole story in itself.

They are baked with sunflower oil, seasoned with salt and pepper

and sesame seeds. 

You need to try these!!!

Yes I am a believer in vegan food and the flavours were incredible. 

I would definitely go back, I'm curious about the 'other' burgers.
